Pass and fail

This weekend the hubs is out of town for soccer tournament, which leaves me looking for crafty ways to fill mine and the kids' time until he comes home.

Yesterday, my friend and I made words out of wire coat hangers and yarn at her place. they turned out adorable and I want to make a couple more in different languages.  So in my book, it made it as a pass.

Last night I made some "Cake batter fudge" Its pretty tasty, but I don't taste the cake batter. I also attempted making paper rosettes, and managed to burn the heck out of my finger in the process....Note to self...LOW TEMP GLUE GUN!

Today, another friend and I played with fire. Well we attempted to cut glass bottles by soaking string in nail polish remover, then wrapping it around the bottle and lighting it on fire for 30 seconds and then dunking it in ice cold water...we failed. and were terribly disappointed. But we did get a chance to hang out and let the kiddos play all day. So in that case it was a total win=)

Tomorrow, the kiddos and I will be heading to Ramstien and hopefully they will have a better selection of tissue paper. Then I can get to making coneChristmas decorations. =D
Oh yeah and I still have to throw together Halloween costumes for next week. Whoops.

About me.

Hey ya'll!
I'm Shandi. I'm a mother, wife, friend, daughter,  sister, ect. Currently my little family of 4 is living in Germany. We're at the will of the Army, and live our lives based on it, but try to keep it as normal as possible. =) To pass my time that isn't spent with chasing after a toddler, keeping up with my 5 year old or spending time with my husband, I enjoy cooking and baking. I believe in not paying full price for something when it can be done for less than half by making it yourself.
So I welcome you to enjoy this little part of my life,  to keep up with my trial and error process to  create and share things I've seen on other sites especially Pintrest! Hence the name, but hey isn't imitation the highest form of flattery? I think so! ;)
So lets get to crafting/cooking/baking/organizing/ sewing, and whatever I come across. =)
Enjoy!
